Registration Category Descriptions
Full Conference Pass
Open to anyone in the trade. Includes continental breakfast, breaks, lunch, receptions, all sessions, written proceedings and access to exhibit area.
One Day Pass
Open to anyone in the trade. Includes breakfast, breaks, lunch, receptions (if applicable), sessions for the day selected, written proceedings and access to exhibit area.
Full Conference Pass Student
Eligible students may qualify for discounted registration fees to attend the Automated Vehicles Symposium 2017. Students must meet the following criteria and present proof of eligibility to qualify.
- Undergrad students must currently be enrolled as full-time students taking 12 credits or more at an accredited college or university
- Graduate students must currently be enrolled as full-time students taking 6 credits or more at an accredited college or university
- Doctoral students must currently be enrolled as full-time research students only at an accredited college or university
Proof of Eligibility
- Full-time student ID with current semester validation
- Certificate of enrollment
Email proof of eligibility to email@example.com prior to registering. Pending approval, qualified students will be able to complete the registration process online.
Students registering onsite will be required to bring proof of eligibility with them in order to qualify for the student discount.

Click on REGISTER NOW and login to auvsi.org with your email and password. Click “Forgot your password?” if you do not remember your password and need to reset it. If you do not have an AUVSI account, please click on Create Account. Enter your email address and click search. On the next page, enter your information to complete your account creation.
Step 2. Register
Select your registration category and corresponding fee for Automated Vehicles Symposium 2017 and continue to checkout page. Once you have completed, your registration will be confirmed by email from firstname.lastname@example.org. If you do not receive a confirmation or receipt, please check your junk and/or spam email folder for confirmation.

Registration for the Automated Vehicles Symposium 2017 will be located on the Ballroom Level, Yosemite Foyer, Tower 2 at the Hilton San Francisco Union Square. A government-issued photo ID will be required in order to claim your conference badge.
To maintain quality news coverage and media representation, members of the media need current, official credentials. You must meet the following criteria and present acceptable identification to qualify for a complimentary press badge.
Press credentials are intended for the working media, this includes editorial staff reporting on events, programs and activities.
Those requesting media registration must be currently employed by a news organization; your press badge will reflect this affiliation.
Freelance writers, writers for college and online publications, and photographers must present a letter of assignment from an approved media outlet to be granted a press badge. Bloggers or Online Media must provide one of the following:
- Copy of or an Internet link to a published industry-related article from the last three months with your name in the byline
- Copy of publication masthead listing you as an editorial contributor
- Link to an industry-related blog posting from the last three months with your name in the byline
- Online media must write for a website with more than 1,000 unique visits a month and a paid reporting staff that posts original tech industry-related news at least weekly
- Bloggers must write for a blog that reflects current, unmanned systems industry-related news, with new posts created on a weekly basis or greater frequency and gets more than 500 unique visits a month
Advertising, public relations, marketing and sales representatives, and other non-editorial media outlet staff will not be granted press badges and must register through general registration and pay appropriate fees. Similarly, non-credentialed companions of properly credentialed media representatives must pay registration fees via attendee registration.
- Proper, non-expired credentials must be presented when registering onsite at the event
- Media outlet interns and student practitioners accompanying credentialed media representatives must show documentation proving college credit is being received for the internship or other proof of employment
Recording for radio and television is generally allowed. In some cases, a speaker may decline to be recorded. Any crew member(s) accompanying a reporter for these purposes will also require a press badge for entry.

Your registration will be confirmed by email from email@example.com within 2 business days. Please check your junk and/or spam email folder for confirmation prior to contacting the AUVSI Registrar. If you do not receive an email confirmation within 5 business days the date your registration was submitted, or you have other registration questions, email firstname.lastname@example.org or call +1 571 255 7789. Register by July 9 for the Advance rate.
- 25% cancellation fee will be assessed on cancellations received by May 14, 2017
- 50% cancellation fee will be assessed on cancellations received by May 15 – June 12, 2017
- 100% cancellation fee will be assessed on ALL CANCELLATIONS after June 12, 2017
- Refunds will not be given for NO SHOWS
Cancellations requests must be made in writing and sent to email@example.com. Cancellations will not be accepted by phone or onsite. Cancellations will be acknowledged by email. Badges are non-transferrable once printed and are subject to a $250 reprint fee.
Should you be unable to attend Automated Vehicle Symposium 2017 after purchasing a pass, you may send another member of your organization in your place. Substitutions must be made prior to badge pickup, before the original registrant has attended any portion of the conference. Substitutions will not be made once the original registrant has attended any portion of the conference. The original registrant may make the substitution by emailing email@example.com by Friday, July 7. Beginning July 7, all substitutions must be made onsite and require hard copy/written permission from the original registrant granting the substitution.
Badges are nontransferable once printed; swapping or sharing is strictly prohibited.
Attendance is for members of AUVSI's industry ONLY. Individuals not in the trade should not attend. AUVSI reserves the right to accept or reject registrations and to cancel any previously accepted reservations, at any time, at its sole discretion, without liability to the registrant or any other party. This policy was instituted to maintain the professional environment of the AUVSI show, while protecting the interests of our attendees and exhibitors.
Loud, abusive, or defamatory language, harassment or other unprofessional or inappropriate behavior is not permitted at any time at the show. If such conduct is engaged in by a registrant, please be advised that AUVSI may cancel any previously accepted reservations, at any time, at its sole discretion, without liability to the registrant or any other party, and the registrant agrees to exit the premises immediately.
AUVSI show badges cannot be reproduced and once a badge has been picked up, it cannot be resold or transferred to another individual. The AUVSI show badge constitutes a limited revocable license to attend the current AUVSI show. AUVSI show badges are the property of AUVSI and may be revoked at any time for any reason. AUVSI badges must be worn at all times at the show.
AUVSI, its sole discretion, reserves the right to decline the registration of any applicant that may violate national security or export compliance laws, including U.S. economic sanctions. Applicants must provide full, truthful information when registering, in accordance with registration terms and conditions.
Photo and Video Policy
Attendees are permitted to use hand-held cameras to take photographs, capture digital images, and videotape within public areas of AUVSI’s show/event for personal, non-commercial use. Public areas include the exhibit hall; general session, technical, panel and workshop rooms; AUVSI press rooms; lobby areas; and hallways.
Large cameras, photo or video equipment, or ancillary equipment such as lighting, tripods, cables, etc. are prohibited (except in instances where approval from AUVSI show management is obtained).
All photographers and videographers are prohibited from entering, photographing, or videotaping non-public areas of AUVSI’s conference. Non-public areas include storage areas; speaker ready rooms; staff offices; and dedicated meeting rooms.
All photographers and videographers are prohibited from impeding attendee traffic flow, blocking doors, stairs, elevators and escalators, and affecting the safety of attendees. All photographers and videographers must fully and immediately comply with any requests, directions, or instructions of AUVSI show management related to safety concerns. All photographers and videographers must obtain exhibitor approval before capturing images within the exhibitor’s booth space.
While attending AUVSI’s conference, all photographers and videographers must comply with all applicable rules, including but not limited to, this policy, all applicable laws, ordinances, municipal regulations, standard operating procedures and administrative procedures. AUVSI conference management may evaluate the actions of a photographer or a videographer, and if a determination is made that the actions of a photographer or videographer are not in compliance with any applicable rule, AUVSI conference management may terminate the permission granted by this policy.
AUVSI reminds conference participants that they are responsible for compliance with regulations limiting the release of export-controlled technology or technical data and the provision of defense services to non-U.S. persons under the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). AUVSI is not liable for unauthorized releases of technical data by conference attendees.
In case the premises for the show is destroyed by Acts of God, fire or the elements or by any cause, or in case of government intervention or regulation, military activity, terrorism, civil disturbance, strikes, labor disputes, or any other circumstances make it impossible or inadvisable to hold the Show at the time and place provided, the attendee waives any claim for damages or compensation, except the pro rata return of the amount paid for admission, after deduction of actual expenses incurred in connection with the exhibition and there shall be no further liability on the part of either party. In no event shall AUVSI, its officers, directors, trustees, or agents be liable for any direct, indirect or consequential damages resulting from the failure to hold the Show.
