Edwin Nas is the dep. Projectleader Selfdriving Vehicles of The Netherlands and has worked for years in the area of Automated Driving, co-chairing the efforts on Connected and Automated Driving in The Netherlands.
Edwin is rapporteur for the European Commission on Connected and Automated Driving (GEAR2030), dealing with the European Strategy for Connected and Automated Driving 2030. He is member of the UN-ECE working party on Automated Driving dealing with the Vienna and Geneva Conventions and is currently working with other countries on common interpretation of the global treaties.
During the Dutch EU-presidency in 2016 Edwin was responsible for The Experience, where all EU-transportministers had a driving experience in (highly) automated vehicles on the public roads in and through Amsterdam in support of the ‘Declaration of Amsterdam’.
Edwin studied Public Administration and Organisational Science and has a 20 year working career in innovation and change management in mobility and aviation.
