He is responsible for the overall performance of the SAE Ground Vehicle Standards global program, including new business development, international standards harmonization, and liaison with other standards development organizations. In his responsibility for managing SAE Ground Vehicle Standards, he interacts regularly with trade associations, government agencies, national, regional and international standards developing organizations, and inspection authorities.
As ISO TC22 “Road Vehicles” USTAG Chairperson he is responsible for ensuring that US position is effectively represented at the ISO process.
Prior to joining SAE, Pokrzywa worked at the Automotive Industry Action Group, where he managed computer design, simulation and engineering data projects for automotive OEMs and major suppliers.
Before joining AIAG, Jack held several marketing, sales and management positions in Germany and the UK with Octal GmbH, a computer software developer based in Silicon Valley, where he was responsible for initial start-up, daily operation and business development in the European market.
Prior to that, he held various engineering positions with Lamb Technicon Corp. on advanced automation projects.
An M.A. graduate of Warsaw’s Catholic University, and Warsaw’s Technical Institute with engineering certificate, Pokrzywa is member of ANSI/ISO Council.
