Patrice Reilhac, Innovation & Collaborative Research Director, Comfort & Driving Assistance Business Group, Valeo
Patrice Reilhac is Innovation & Collaborative Research Director for the Comfort & Driving Assistance Business Group at Valeo, a leading worldwide Tier 1 supplier of components and systems for the automotive industry.
Patrice has been with Valeo for 22 years with responsibilities in customer project management, generic R&D projects and worldwide advanced development tasks. He obtained his engineering degree from Ecole Centrale de Lyon in France and from the Darmstadt Technical University in Germany. He also has an MSc in Management Sciences from the University of Manchester, School of management.
He has been involved in the definition and the follow-up of transversal advanced research projects since 2000. He has successfully introduced the disruptive Domain innovation approach at Valeo for the Driving Assistance perimeter between 2003 and 2009. This approach was later on integrated into the overall Valeo’s R&D and Product Marketing strategies and processes.
Patrice is currently leading a worldwide team based in Europe & the US. The team is in charge of the identification, evaluation and early stage development of disruptive innovations in the area of “Intuititve Driving” that covers the perimeter of vehicule automation, connectivity and extended HMI.
